MIRACLE LEAGUE BEGINS FIRST FALL SEASON REGISTRATION

September 3, 2004 - The Miracle League of Pensacola will hold pre-registration for children and adults with disabilities interested in playing baseball. Registration will be held at the John R. Jones, Jr. Sports Complex ( Northeast Pensacola s Covered Pavilion); 555 East Nine Mile Road on Saturday, September 11 and September 18 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Registration fee is $25 per athlete.

The Miracle League is a baseball league for people with disabilities. The league also invites anyone interested in volunteering in any capacity or to serve as a "Buddy" to one of the athletes to attend the registration. A Buddy helps an athlete as needed with batting, running the bases and fielding.

During this inaugural season the teams will play on an existing T-Ball field at the park. Games are tentatively scheduled for on Saturdays in October. For more information about the Miracle League of Pensacola call 433-7404 or visit the website at www.MiracleLeaguePensacola.org.
